How do I level my lawn?

You will find that there are 100 different opinions and techniques on this project. Leveling a lawn is not an exact science, but the videos below will give you the approach from our favorite lawn care nut, Allyn Hane:

Here's a few quick tips from the video: 

• Use dry sand - paver/play sand will work fine just make sure it's dry!
• Throw'er down until you start to see the sand sticking out through the lawn 
  • Don't bury the lawn 
  • Let the grass seek is new level within the sand over time and add more sand later (couple of weeks/months) if needed 
• Water it in

Also note: If you are going to level the lawn in spring, skip the pre-emergent. There is also no need to de-thatch or aerate prior to starting this project.
