If you do not have a Scotts, Earthway, Echo, or Lesco broadcast spreader, here is a good video explaining how to calibrate your spreader's settings:

If you are using a drop spreader, such as Scott's Classic Drop Spreader, and using a Yard Mastery granular fertilizer, you will want to set your spreader at a 7.
