Great question! It is indeed possible to get rid of torpedo grass if you have ProVista.
ProVista is glyphosate-tolerant or what they say up north "RoundUp Ready", so you can get 41% glyphosate which is a herbicide that kills almost everything, including torpedo grass, but will not harm your ProVista.
This is exactly why I tell everyone to get ProVista because it's the only way to keep torpedo grass out is by killing it with glyphosate. You can find 41% glyphosate on Amazon and the mix rate is usually 3-4oz/gallon of water and that gallon of spray mix covers 1,000 sq ft.
- Torpedo grass will start to run more and more and take over. If you have it in large areas, the best bet is to kill it off in small sections at a time with glyphosate, wait 7 days, dig it out, and drop a couple of pieces of sod. Cheap and effective. Sometimes surgery is the best option.
